Founded by Chef Binta Diallo, withBee sits at the intersection of food, culture, and lived experience. Rooted in Afro-Caribbean and West African traditions, the brand reflects a life shaped by migration, womanhood, faith, resilience, and creative expression.
Born in Guinea, West Africa, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Binta learned early that food was more than nourishment. Food was language, memory, and connection. Cooking became a way to translate worlds: between continents, between generations, between tradition and modern life. This translation lives at the heart of withBee.
Today, withBee comes to life through a MEHKO café in Los Angeles, small-batch spice blends, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and hands-on education. -
Each offering is designed to be both elevated and accessible; honoring ancestral knowledge while welcoming curiosity. Whether she’s grinding spices, teaching a class, or plating a dish, Binta approaches food as an invitation: to learn, to listen, and to gather.
